Classified Inspiration

Congratulations... you’ve found us!

Built in a spirit that the deeper you delve the more likely you’ll discover something of value, this website gives you access to our secretly found places to stay, eat and be merry! The kind of places (usually just off the beaten track) you’ll only tell your closest friends and family about.

I’ve always maintained (since our launch in December 2009) that the defining characteristic of a Secretly Famous place is the inspirational folk you’ll find there; it’s their amazing passion for what they do that makes it so special. So whether you’re looking for a barn, bar, bed or bakery, you’ll be sure to leave with the light glowing a little brighter!

Whilst developing the site it became clear that the roots of the idea go much deeper than I originally thought…

Sparked by a ‘blog out of the blue’ written by Kevin Roberts, CEO Saatchi & Saatchi Worldwide, and fuelled by his insightful books and speeches, I began to wonder if there was more to Secretly Famous than I’d realised in the first place. You could say he’s responsible for the optimisation!

Curiously, everyone I speak to knows somewhere Secretly Famous. What’s even more intriguing? Everyone appears to know someone Secretly Famous! And they don’t always run a Secretly Famous place…
