The Burgoyne Hotel was established in 1990 by Peter Carwardine and Derek Hickson and is now run by Derek and his loyal and long serving team of helpers. Once the family home of the Burgoyne Johnson family, the proprietors are dedicated to providing exceptionally high standards and this is reflected in the décor and ambience of this remarkable country house hotel.
This charming late Georgian country house has been completely upgraded in traditional style to a most elegant and comfortable home. A log burning inglenook fireplace is the main feature in one of two beautifully appointed drawing rooms, which are stocked with magazines, books and games to help you relax in.
Magnificent views of Reeth green, the village, and the Harkerside Fells can be enjoyed in the equally elegant dining room, presided over by Derek Hickson. Traditional style breakfast and dinner are lovingly prepared by chefs Paul Salonga and Chris Harker. The restaurant glints with polished silver, candles and immaculately folded napkins.
Guests will discover remarkable levels of comfort and service, set on Reeth's idyllic village green in the exceptional Swaledale countryside in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales.
A tray of afternoon tea will be provided in the lounge by the fire when you arrive.
