Restoring this old Georgian building has been a real labour of love and we hope you love it as much as we do. We have taken inspiration from the building's heritage (the first wine business was started here in 1860) and wine continues to be very important to us.
As a boutique hotel, we understand that one of the joys of going away is to have a touch more luxury than you do at home. So that is why in our higgledy piggledy old building, we have made sure that every room is unique.
The only thing that is standard is comfort - the ultra luxury Vi-Spring beds, the crisp cotton linen, the stacks of fluffy white towels, the state of the art flatscreen TVs, the luxurious en suite bathrooms with rainfall showers, and gorgeous local Sedbergh Soap Company toiletries.
Situated on the edge of the Lake District, the Dales and The Forest of Bowland in the pretty little market town of Kirkby Lonsdale with wonderful walking, stunning views and really good shopping.
What more could you want?!
You would expect crisp linen and comfy beds for sleepy heads, but we include the special little extras - fresh milk for your coffee, home made biscuits, great novels and if you’re staying out late, a midnight feast tray!
Meals:
Proper home cooking with a twist made from fresh ingredients sourced on our doorstep, a wine list selected by grape so that you can try new variations of your favourite wine, and honest beers and ales for the drinker who knows the difference.

Unlike a card scheme, we’re not trying to capture your data – we’re trying to captivate you! Our stamps don’t expire, so you’ll have plenty of time to savour the special offers which reflect the unique collection of places featured on the site… champers on ice, midnight feast hampers and free bags of calf feed to name a few!
You decide what it’s worth! After our small admin fee of £5, every penny goes to a charity of your choice; something close to your heart. We'll then share Classified Inspiration about your charity with our online communities on Facebook and Twitter, giving much needed exposure to great causes throughout the UK. It’s up to you!
