Our home on the outskirts of Ambleside in the heart of the English Lake District. Once a gentleman’s hunting lodge on the Wray Castle Estate we have recently returned it to its former glory and have a couple of sumptuous suites for you to luxuriate in.

Using local tradesmen and materials where possible, The Martindale (Chrissy’s family name originating in Mardale) was first to be finished. We kept the natural pine floor and the character and integrity of this wonderful building, added luxurious touches such as super king vi-sprung bed covered in frette linen, there’s a flat screen TV and an iDock, a shower room nearly the size of Belgium and Chrissy’s boudoir for snacking moments.

The Valleylay (Andy’s Grandfather’s family name) suite has a Rococco feel to it. A bathroom the size of Luxembourg, a double ended slipper bath as well as the luxurious touches found in or other suite.

Meals:
Price includes your lovingly, locally sourced and individually prepared breakfast. If staying more than one night your boudoir larder for midnight munchings!
