Shibden Mill dates back to the 17th Century and is situated in the fold of the picturesque Shibden Valley, West Yorkshire.

A sensitive refurbishment by owners Simon & Caitlin Heaton has retained the character and charm associated with a property offering such history, whilst injecting an elegant sense of style – beamed ceilings, open fires and eleven individually stunning bedrooms. Guests can enjoy a warm, cosy bar and downstairs dining area, or alternatively there is an upstairs restaurant and private dining room for those extra special occasions. A large outside area proves very popular in the warmer months with the sound of Red Beck flowing past, which runs directly opposite Shibden Mill.

Having played an important role in valley life for centuries, Shibden Mill now has a far reaching, enviable reputation for fabulous food, drink, over-night accommodation and warm hospitality.

Head Chef Darren Parkinson offers a wide and varied selection of dishes, guaranteed to satisfy every taste. Guests can enjoy choice of Cask Marque accredited real ales as well as a great selection of wines from all over the world, by the glass or the bottle.

Guinea Pig Night

Our Guinea Pig Nights are held usually on the first Tuesday & Wednesday of the month, with tables available from 7.00pm to 9.00pm. Here you can wine and dine yourselves in our beautifully refurbished restaurant, and sample exciting new dishes showcased by our award winning team of chefs. The element of the evening is that you will never know what the dishes are until the moment they are served, therefore, you need to be a little bit adventurous. Besides allowing you a sneak preview of our Chefs dishes, you will be asked at the end of the meal to fill in a short questionnnaire detailing both your opinions and feelings of the whole meal experience. A thoroughly enjoyable and relaxed evening is to be had, but be sure and book early, as tables tend to be fully booked quite early on.

Terms: Special dietary requests or menu changes cannot be catered for on this event

Inn Season Evenings

The fabulous Inn Season Evenings take place on the last Thursday of the month and feature a four-course gourmet tasting menu. The emphasis is on 'fresh and local', showcasing seasonal harvest at its prime and ready for eating!

Price: £34.95 per person
