The Burgoyne Hotel - A Special Place to Stay

The Burgoyne Hotel

On The Green, Reeth
Yorkshire, England, DL11 6SN

Phone: 01748 884292

Secretly Famous™ for…

Magnificent views of Reeth green and the Harkerside Fells from the elegant dining room, together with first class hospitality throughout your stay.

The Burgoyne Hotel was established in 1990 by Peter Carwardine and Derek Hickson and is now run by Derek and his loyal and long serving team of helpers. Once the family home of the Burgoyne Johnson family, the proprietors are dedicated to providing exceptionally high standards and this is reflected in the décor and ambience of this remarkable country house hotel.

This charming late Georgian country house has been completely upgraded in traditional style to a most elegant and comfortable home. A log burning inglenook fireplace is the main feature in one of two beautifully appointed drawing rooms, which are stocked with magazines, books and games to help you relax in.

Magnificent views of Reeth green, the village, and the Harkerside Fells can be enjoyed in the equally elegant dining room, presided over by Derek Hickson. Traditional style breakfast and dinner are lovingly prepared by chefs Paul Salonga and Chris Harker. The restaurant glints with polished silver, candles and immaculately folded napkins.

Guests will discover remarkable levels of comfort and service, set on Reeth's idyllic village green in the exceptional Swaledale countryside in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales.

Rooms:
Each individually decorated and centrally heated bedroom has its own bathroom and toilet and most have a shower in addition to the bath. All rooms have tea and coffee making facilities, hair dryer, trouser press, wide screen LCD televisions, DVD players, digital radios, WIFI internet access and direct dial telephones. Rooms have spectacular views across Reeth village green, Swaledale, and Fremington edge to choose from.

Food:
Paul Salonga and his team run the kitchen in the same high class mode of cooking, offering a daily changing menu of locally sourced and fresh ingredients. The sensitively prepared dishes are served in generous portions and are complemented by a wine cellar presided over by Derek Hickson, who is on hand to discuss suitability prior to selection.
